St. Andrew’s Lawn Sale

The first lawn sale of the season took place on Saturday, May 16, and the sun shone! For the most part. With the opening of the weekly market across the street, St. Andrew’s benefitted from a steady stream of visitors who browsed through the items on sale, picked up home-baked treats, or munched on a hot dog.

All the best items from the What-Not Shop were laid out on tables on the lawn, from books, to glassware, to kitchen applicances and even a standalone telescope … A crew of St. Andrew’s volunteers was on hand to answer questions and accept donations as most of the items were available for a donation. As always, customers were generous with their donated amounts.

With Archdeacon Nancy wielding the barbecue tongs and a steady stream of delightful canines enjoying the spring weather, it was a successful morning — showcasing the community spirit to be found in Wellington.
