Another glorious, sunshiny day for Wellington’s Pumpkinfest market and parade. It was the coldest day of the fall so far, but with such a bright blue sky, one’s spirits could only shine with the sun and be thankful for the beauty that God has given us.
As usual, St. Andrew’s felt like the centre of the activity in our town. The Craft Show in the church hall, our selfie booth, and the hotdogs, drinks and cookies on the lawn were all busy spots.
Visitors streamed through the church, many coming through our doors for the first time. Some passed on quickly to reach the church hall, interested only in the crafts, but many lingered, a few sat for a while in silence, some asked questions of the tour guide.
The Craft Show and our What-Not Shop were crowded all day long. The variety of offerings was amazing and the quality superb. The selfie booth, decorated with hay bales, scarecrows, and pumpkins was a very busy place.
Many thanks to the volunteers: those who braved the cold to offer St. Andrew’s hospitality on the lawn; those who were running supplies from the kitchen to the sellers outside; those who were helping in the hall. Our leadership team were all involved and very busy.

It was a successful Pumpkinfest for our church as we welcomed in our community and perhaps touched a few hearts.
