St. Andrew’s marked Canada Day, as always, with a lawn sale and a lunch of sandwiches, cookies and drinks. This year, having lost the shade of our two beautiful Norway Maples to old age, we set up a tent to provide some shade for the guests.
Wellington has its own Canada Day parade, and this year it was as boisterous and as much fun as usual, but anyone out in the sun on Canada Day was going to sizzle without a hat! Many people improvised hats for the occasion, and some of these creations can be seen in the photo gallery.
Once again, the St. Andrew’s spirit of fellowship and enthusiasm produced a marvelous morning of outreach to the community and fundraising for the church. Despite the heat, St. Andrew’s made it work!
