The 44th session of the General Synod will take place June 23-29, 2025, in London, Ontario.

About the General Synod 2025 logo: A multi-coloured stylized soaring eagle graces the logo, along with a quote from Isaiah 40:31: “They will soar on wings like eagles.”  The logo encapsulates General Synod’s theme of hope, strength and renewal.

Primatial Election

A major item of business at General Synod will be the election on June 26, 2025, of a new Primate of the Anglican Church of Canada.

The following four bishops have been nominated by the Order of Bishops for the office of Primate of The Anglican Church of Canada:
