Sunday, December 7, the second Sunday of Advent, was Sock-It-To-Me Sunday at St. Andrew’s. For the last month, our congregation has been collecting socks of all kinds, and hats and mitts, many knit by members of our church and others in the community.

On Sock-It-To-Me Sunday, Archdeacon Nancy blessed them to the use of the needy of our region and donated them to the Wellington and District Foodbank. Cynthia Riordon, President of the Wellington Storehouse Foodbank, was on hand to receive the Christmas gifts and to thank the congregation for their donation. She declared it  “an action of love.”
